Boulder, Colorado, United States, 6 October, 2026 - On is proud to announce the signing of Canadian 800m specialist Avery Pearson to the On Athletics Club (OAC) Global Team. Pearson joins On’s elite roster of international middle-distance talent as she transitions to professional running and sets her sights on representing Team Canada at her first Olympic Games.
Born and raised in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, Pearson’s athletic trajectory is built on intrinsic motivation, self-driven discipline, and perseverance. Coming from a small community without a formal track team until her university years, Pearson relied on sheer passion for the sport before going on to achieve elite status at both the Canadian collegiate and NCAA Division I levels.
During her collegiate career with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies, Pearson established herself as one of Canada’s premier rising talents, earning U SPORT Female Rookie of the Year honors and multiple U SPORT medals and Canada West titles. She represented Team Canada as a World U20 finalist in the 800m and went on to compete for the University of Colorado Buffaloes, earning All-American recognition and claiming the 2026 Big 12 Indoor title in the 600-yard event. With a lifetime personal best of 2:00.76 in the 800m, Pearson has cemented her place among North America’s top middle-distance prospects.
