A Homage to Switzerland

ZURICH, Switzerland, May 29, 2024 – Swiss Olympic, the National Olympic Committee of Switzerland, in conjunction with its partners Ochsner Sport, Switzerland’s leading sports retailer, and On, a Swiss sports brand, is presenting the Swiss Olympic Team Paris 2024 Collection, the official uniform for the Swiss Olympic and Paralympic Team Delegation presented in a unique and innovative design. The collection, which is made for fans just as much as it is for athletes, is available immediately and exclusively at Ochsner Sport and On.

​Inspired by the 26 cantons’ coats of arms

The Swiss Olympic Team Paris 2024 Collection centres around an aesthetically pleasing and innovative design, sustainability and quality. The striking gradient, inspired by the coats of arms of the 26 cantons, symbolises the diversity and unity of Switzerland. The Swiss team’s look in Paris is mainly characterised by the colour white, however the team identity is represented by a spectrum of colours and united by the red of the Swiss flag.

“This spectrum stands for the diversity of the cultures, for the 26 cantons and simultaneously for the sports associations that together will deliver excellence in the Swiss team. The collection is designed to help the athletes feel and radiate pride in the diversity and culture of their country,” says Thilo Alex Brunner, Head of Design at On, “When designing the collection, we concentrated on an innovative approach and functionality based on the athletes’ feedback so that they can feel good and give their best in Paris. At the same time, though, it was also important to us not to make any compromises on style.”

There are numerous people, organisations and institutions that need to work together for the Swiss athletes to make it to the Olympic Games and deliver their best performance. It is a combined force that we wish to symbolise with the collection, too.”

The Swiss Olympic Team Paris 2024 Collection is comprised of 24 pieces that can be combined in versatile ways and split into four categories: Olympic Ceremony – for the major opening ceremony, Olympic Focus – for a comfortable look in the Olympic Village, Olympic Performance – for the final on-site training sessions in sweat-absorbing and highly breathable materials; and Olympic Club – for the biggest moment of all: the medal ceremony on the podium. This means the Swiss athletes will have the right look from head to toe for every occasion. In addition to a wide selection of clothing and shoes, the collection also offers accessories such as gym and travel bags as well as caps and socks.

Fans are included, too

Fans can cheer on the Swiss team in style since all the pieces in the collection – except for the Olympic Ceremony look (ceremony jacket and trousers) – are also available to fans. Any spectator with a passion for the Olympics can show their support for the Swiss team being represented on the world’s largest stage for sports.

New standards for sustainability

The collection’s use of premium materials and advanced processing techniques not only maximises the athletes’ performance, but also sets new standards. It was made to be as sustainable as possible, from the design to the choice of materials as well as its production. The Swiss Olympic Team Paris 2024 Collection was designed and developed at the On Labs in Zurich and for the most part made in Portugal to keep the production carbon footprint as small as possible. It is largely white and uses undyed, water-saving fabrics. This means that water and energy can be saved, and all materials are organic or recycled where possible. The Ceremony Jacket, for example, saw recycled plastic from the Limmat river being processed into fibres – in collaboration with Round Rivers – which were then used to produce the jacket.
