On’s newest experimental shoe officially launches the brand’s PAD Editions Range
ZURICH, Switzerland, May 27th, 2021 – Cloudnova Z5, the latest experimental shoe from On, launches the Swiss brand's paradigm-shifting Editions Range—a collection of exclusive limited editions and hybrids born and bred in On's Zurich lab.
The name Cloudnova Z5 proudly points to the place of its conception, Zurich District 5.
Every month, at the On Lab in Zurich, the Design team plays around and creates shoes no-one was ever supposed to see. These experiments are not meant to be worn.
But when they realize a prototype performs - just like the Z5 series - they start a life.
Unique to the Editions Range, it’s the product of crossing two distinct yet intertwined playfields—running and lifestyle—to create a model that pushes the expectations of product designed to perform.
The result? The start of a collection of crossbreeds On refers to as Monsters and special editions.
Developed in On's design lab, the Cloudnova Z5 pairs the upper of the Cloudflash -one of the brand's fastest models- with the sole of its Cloudnova, On's first sneaker with premium comfort technology. With its flashy neon lines and ultra-breathable nanomesh, this model born from performance is free from unnecessary add-ons and powered by On's signature Speedboard® + CloudTec® sole combination.
And where do these monsters live? This hybrid holds its ground in urban environments. With its lightweight sole, extreme breathability, and neon energy, the Cloudnova Z5 is ready to take on hot summer days, from performance to play.
