To develop the next generation of patented CloudTec Phase™ technology, On harnessed the power of the FEA digital analysis tool to simulate, iterate and validate research data. Cross-referenced with extensive runner testing, CloudTec Phase™ features optimal construction and geometry for revolutionary cushioning and stride transition.
Sustainability
In an ongoing effort to reduce our impact on the planet, On used the Dope-Dyeing process to save 95% of the water used to dye the upper of the Cloudsurfer. Since CloudTec Phase™ does not incorporate a Speedboard® plate, less material is needed for the midsole. Finally, 100% of the polyester used is recycled, bringing the total recycled material in the shoe to 30%.
Smooth Cushioning
The running feel of CloudTec Phase™ is impressively comfortable and smooth. Combined with a Helion™ foam sole, the Clouds compress and interlock perfectly one after the other, like a domino, ensuring a smooth stride throughout the foot's roll, and proper energy return.
