Zurich, Switzerland, December 9, 2024 - From the 100K World Championships in the heat of Bangalore, India, to the cross-country course in Antalya, Turkey, On athletes celebrated successful races and experiences across the board.

2024 100K World Champion

In the heat of Bangalore, India, French athlete Floriane Hot won the 100KM World Championship title in a time of 07:08.42.

The 100K course comprised 18 laps of a 4.865km long course around the GKVK University campus. Hot, who had won her first title two years ago, held an average pace of 14km/h during her over seven hours on the course.

She found herself in the lead pack as the race kicked off, but her patience and experience would lead her to cross the finish line first. 15 laps in, the race was close, with Sarah Webster of Great Britain leading the race, followed by Hot and her fellow French Teammate Marie-Ange Brumelot. Hot overtook Webster on lap 16 and didn’t give up the lead again. Heading into the last lap, Hot had a two-and-a-half-minute lead over Brumelot and secured her second 100K world title in a time of 07:08.43.
