Iga Świątek Wins First Wimbledon Title

399 Days after her last title, Świątek lifts the Trophy in London

London, United Kingdom, July 12, 2025 – On athlete Iga Świątek (POL) has crowned a remarkable campaign by winning her first-ever Wimbledon title, defeating Amanda Anisimova (USA) in dominant fashion with a score of 6:0, 6:0 in just 57 minutes.

Known for typically dominating on the clay courts, Świątek dropped only one set on her way to the final, against Caty McNally in the second round. That early challenge proved to be an anomaly, with Świątek largely untroubled in the following rounds, beating three top 35 players in a row, including Danielle Collins (USA), Clara Tauson (DEN), and Liudmila Samsonova (RUS). She then faced Belinda Bencic (SUI) in the semi-final, whom she outplayed 6:2, 6:0, booking her spot in her first ever final on the infamous grass courts.

Her commanding form continued in the final, as Świątek took the opening set 6:0 in just 25 minutes. Świątek had her eyes set firmly on the coveted trophy, leaving no chance for Anisimova, and powered through the second set to win 6:0, securing her historic victory.

Feliciano Robayna, Head of Athlete Management for Tennis at On, spoke after Świątek’s victory:

"We are absolutely thrilled for Iga. After a challenging start to the year, seeing her here, smiling with the Wimbledon trophy, is truly amazing. This victory is a testament to her unwavering dedication, incredible talent, and the relentless effort she pours into every match. We're incredibly proud to support her journey and witness this historic moment for her career."

Her victory at the All England Club marks Świątek’s sixth Grand Slam title, following her four titles in Paris and one title in New York. She now boasts a 100% success rate in Grand Slam finals and has become the youngest woman to reach six Grand Slam finals since Justine Henin in 2006. She is also the only active female tennis player to reach a final on all three Grand Slam surfaces.

To add to the celebrations, her victory today marks her 100th match win in Grand Slams. The trophy will join Świątek’s junior Wimbledon title in her trophy cabinet from her victory in 2018.
