Julie Derron Dominates T100, Antoine Charvolin Victorious at Maxi Race, and On Athletes Shine on Track
On Athletes Triumphed across Triathlon, Trail, and Track Events Worldwide

Zurich, Switzerland, June 2, 2025—This past weekend, Athletes delivered strong performances in triathlon, trail running, and track and field. Julie Derron secured her inaugural T100 victory in San Francisco, while Antoine Charvolin claimed first place at the Maxi Race in Annecy, France. Additionally, several On athletes earned bronze medals at the Grand Slam Track meet in Philadelphia.
Derron Dominates in San Francisco for First T100 Victory
After a series of impressive second-place finishes in Ibiza, Las Vegas, and last year's Dubai final, Swiss triathlete Julie Derron finally claimed her maiden victory in the T100 Race series in San Francisco this past weekend. Derron completed the 2km swim, 80km bike, and 18km run in a commanding time of 03:38:46, finishing a full two minutes ahead of second-place finisher Taylor Knibb, who experienced her first defeat in the T100 series. Fellow On athlete Kate Waugh secured the final podium spot with a time of 03:43:00.
The swim leg saw a tight field, with less than ten seconds separating the top eight competitors. However, by the start of the second lap on the bike, favorites Knibb and Derron had strategically moved into prime positions, with Knibb at the front of the pack and Derron close behind in second. Entering transition zone two, Derron was approximately one minute adrift of Knibb, while Waugh was over three minutes behind the American in fourth. The decisive moment arrived early in the run, as Derron swiftly closed the gap and overtook Knibb, securing her well-deserved victory.
Geens Secures Silver with a Blazing Run

In the men's race, Belgium's Jelle Geens secured the silver medal, clocking an impressive overall time of 03:17:46 for the 100km distance, propelled by the day's fastest run split. The swim saw the men's field largely grouped together, with the potential podium contenders only emerging during the bike leg. Rico Bogen surged ahead on the bike, establishing a lead, while a chase pack comprising Marten Van Riel, Geens, and Panagiotis Bitados followed closely. By the time they reached transition zone two, Bogen had extended his lead to a significant 1:50, with Geens still a key part of the chasing group. Five kilometers into the run, Geens overtook Sam Riddle, who had been in second place but was forced to serve a penalty. Geens then maintained his strong pace, ultimately crossing the finish line in second place with a remarkable run split of 59:40.
Charvolin Claims Maxi Race Victory, Norris Dominates US Nationals
60 kilometres and 3500 metres of elevation stood between Antoine Charvolin (FRA) and his victory at the Maxi Race along the lakes and mountains in Annecy, France. Following the route of the 2024 European Trail Championships, the race took off, with everyone holding back for the first 15km. By the 30 km mark, Charvolin and Gautier Airiau had broken away, and as the cumulative kilometres ticked past the marathon mark, Charvolin found himself up front alone, with victory just a few kilometres away. Maintaining his effort on the final climb, Charvolin wound up crossing the finish line after 5 hours and 19 minutes.
At the US National Mountain Running Championships, David Norris stormed to victory and officially qualified for the World Championships set to take place in September. Norris completed the 15km and 1000m of elevation in 01:10.55.
A Bronze Grand Slam Track Meet
At the third stop of the Grand Slam Track series in Philadelphia, it was a shower of bronze medals for the On athletes competing. Both competing as challengers, Josette Andrews and Ky Robinson claimed third place in their respective 3000m races with Andrews completing the race in 08:44.70 and Robinson in 08:01.92. In the short distance group, racer Yared Nuguse took third in a time of 1:45.36. A challenger in the women’s short hurdle group, Swiss athlete Ditaji Kambundji also claimed the bronze medal in the 100m hurdle race. Crossing the line in 11.41, she had not only a medal to celebrate, but also a new PB in the distance.
