Mogavero's Historic Trail Debut at Western States; Blummenfelt Defends European Ironman Title
On athletes deliver stellar performances across Western States, Lavaredo Ultra, Golden Trail World Series, and Ironman Frankfurt.

Zurich, Switzerland, June 30, 2025 - This past weekend delivered exceptional performances across the endurance world, with On athletes making significant waves. Jeff Mogavero set a new course debut record at the iconic Western States 100 Mile race, showcasing incredible talent in trail running. Meanwhile, fellow On athlete Kristian Blummenfelt continued his dominant season, successfully defending his European Ironman Championship title in Frankfurt.
Fastest Western States 100 Debut
Jeff Mogavero (USA) delivered a spectacular debut at the Western State 100 Mile race, completing the iconic race in 14 hours and 30 minutes, making it the fastest debut to date. Always within the top 10, Mogavero had a great race, making his way through the 161km and 5500m of elevation and the California heat. Reaching the halfway point in just under six hours and 40 minutes, Mogavero looked strong. At mile 73 (117km), Mogavero was 13 minutes behind the lead in third place, battling it out with Killian Jornet for the last podium spot. With less than 10 miles (16km) to go, Jornet passed Mogavero, and the hopes of a podium finish for the American debutant diminished. Despite just missing the podium, Mogavero became the fastest debutant to date.
On Athletes Succeed in the Dolomites
In the Dolomites, at the Lavaredo Ultra Trail, Alyssa Clark (USA) and Antoine Charvolin (FRA) teed the start line of the 120 km race, covering 5800m of elevation. Clark was up against trail running royalty Courtney Dauwalter (USA), who was going to make it a challenge for anyone to beat her. From the get-go, Clark was in the lead pack, but Dauwalter had the jets on and by the second half of the race was always a checkpoint ahead. Running her race, Clark finished in 14:43:51, about 30 minutes behind Dauwalter.
For Charvolin, it was the first time that he would be covering this distance. Behind Ben Dhiman (USA), who took off at a pace that no one could match, Charvolin found himself in an intense duel with Italian Tobias Geiser. As the night drew on, however, and fatigue set in, Charvolin saw the podium slip away with Raul Octavi Butaci and Andreas Reiterer completing the podium. Ultimately completing the course in fourth place and in a time of 12:20.11, Charvolin now has his eyes set on the TDS race in August, covering 145km and 9000m of elevation.
In the 80km distance, with 4600m of elevation, the On female trail runners, Marion Delespierre (FRA) and Kaisa Dombrowska (POL), were at the start line and spent much of the race side by side, battling for a podium spot. Ultimately, it was Delespierre who took third place in a time of 09:08.12 and Dombrowska fourth in a time of 09:33.05.
Six races, Six Podiums for Kipnegno and Kiriago

At the sixth stop of the Golden Trail World Series in Mexico, Patrick Kipngeno and Philemon Kiriago did what they’ve done for all races this series so far: Finish on the podium. The 34km long race, with 1850m of elevation, saw a tight race in the first 8km, with Kiriago opening up a slight lead, ahead of Pipnegno and Elazzaoui. By kilometre 11, it was the typical picture of the 2025 series: Elazzaoui, Kiriag,o and Kipngeno running together up front, battling it out between one another who would take which spot on the podium. In the end, it was Elazzaoui who had the better day, followed by Kiriago in second and Kipngeno in third.
Blummenfelt defends European Title in Frankfurt
At the European Ironman Championships, held at the Frankfurt Ironman, Kristian Blummenfelt (NOR) successfully defended his title, taking the win in a new course record of 07:25.57. His victory in Frankfurt marked his third in succession, following his wins in Texas and 70.3 Aix-en-Provence this year.

In the Frankfurt heat, Blummenfelt left the water two minutes after leader Andrea Salvisberg (SUI). He was part of a breakaway lead pack at the halfway point on the bike, which included Gustav Iden (NOR) and Rudy Von Berg (USA). Coming into T2 with nine minutes to make up on leader Høgenhaug, Blummenfelt was relentless on his run, catching up and overtaking any competitor in his sight. Running faster than anyone else, he caught Høgenhaug early in the final lap. Despite nothing standing in the way of his victory anymore, Blummenfelt did not let down his guard, blazing through to the end and delivering a blistering 02:30.59 marathon time.
