Next Stop Tokyo: 64 On Athletes Head to the World Championships
With its largest-ever roster qualified for the pinnacle of the athletics calendar, the Swiss sportswear brand solidifies its position on the world stage
Zurich, Switzerland, September 5, 2025—Swiss sportswear company On is proud to announce that 64 sponsored athletes from 31 nations will travel to Tokyo to represent their countries at the World Championships, which will take place from September 13 to 21.
This marks a significant increase from previous years, demonstrating On's rapid expansion on the world stage. The brand's presence has grown from a handful of athletes at the Doha World Championships in 2019, to 27 in Eugene in 2022, and 38 athletes from 21 nations in Budapest just two years ago.
The 64-strong roster of athletes will showcase their talent across a wide range of track and field events, including a strong presence in the 1500m and 3000m steeplechase competitions, as well as the 5000m and 10,000m. For the first time, On will have a larger presence in the shorter track distances, including the 200m, 400 m, and 100m hurdles. The marathons will also showcase a strong field of On athletes.
