Olympic marathon runner Nicolas Navarro signs with On
Performance running brand On continues to grow its roster of road elite athletes with the partnership of the fastest Frenchman at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic marathon
Zurich, Switzerland, June 2nd, 2022 - Today, Swiss performance running brand On announced a partnership with Nicolas Navarro, the fastest Frenchman in the streets of Sapporo during the marathon of the last 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Together and with common goals, the brand and the athlete will work towards the 2024 Paris Olympics.
After qualifying for the French national team at the Valencia marathon in 2019, Nicolas Navarro, 31, shone at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic marathon where he achieved the best French performance and finished in 12th place. Earlier this year, Navarro set a personal best time of 2h08’30 at the Sevilla marathon. Next Sunday, June 5th, he will compete for the first time as an On athlete in the half marathon of Olonnes, in the west of France.
“Driven by common values and with this desire for performance, the project seemed obvious to me”, said Nicolas Navarro. "I am therefore very happy and proud to join the On family. Alone we go faster, together we go further."
To help him achieve his ambitions in upcoming competitions, Nicolas Navarro will be provided with the On’s latest performance products, such as the Cloudboom Echo, a shoe designed to chase marathon records. The collaboration will also see the athlete and the brand exchanging regularly to further develop products from the range.
