On Athletes Reach New Heights in a Record-Breaking 2025 Season

A year of historic firsts, world records, and major championship titles cements On's growing presence in professional sports.

ZURICH, Switzerland – December 18, ​ 2025 – On's global team of athletes shattered records and secured major titles across every discipline in 2025. From the track to the trails, and the tennis court to the triathlon course, it was a year of historic victories that showcased the brand's growing dominance in professional sports.

A Golden Year on the Track

On’s track and field athletes delivered a season of record-breaking speed. Yared Nuguse kicked off the year by setting a new Indoor Mile World Record at the Millrose Games—the first-ever world record for an On athlete.

World Championship Highlights:

  • Geordie Beamish (NZL): Gold in the 3000m steeplechase at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
  • Ditaji Kambundji (SUI): Gold in the 100m hurdles in Tokyo, becoming the first Swiss female to win a gold medal at the World Championships.
  • Marissa Papaconstantinou (CAN): On's first-ever World Para Athletics medals, with a bronze in the T64 100m and silver in the T64 200m.

Other Major Victories:

  • European Indoor Champions: Ditaji Kambundji (60m hurdles, European Record) and Agathe Guillemot (1500m).
  • World Indoor Championships: Medals for Ditaji Kambundji (silver, 60m hurdles) and Ky Robinson (bronze, 3000m).
  • The team also secured seven Diamond League titles and numerous national records.

Masters on the Trails

The On trail team conquered the most challenging terrains across the globe with a series of iconic wins.

  • Antoine Charvolin (FRA): Secured the brand’s first-ever win during UTMB finals week, winning the TDS (145km) in the CloudUltra Pro, a shoe he helped develop.
  • Katie Schide (USA): Won the long course race at the World Trail and Mountain Running Championships and the legendary HardRock 100.
  • Philemon Kiriago (KEN): Won the iconic Sierre-Zinal and the Classic Up and Down race at the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships.
  • Baptiste Chassagne (FRA): Won the iconic Diagonale des Fous on his debut.
  • Jeff Mogavero (USA): Delivered the fastest debut to date at the Western States 100-mile race, finishing fourth.

A Master Class in Marathon Running

On's road running athletes showcased their world-class endurance and speed, conquering major marathons.

  • Sutume Asefa Kebede (ETH): Became the first woman to win back-to-back titles in Tokyo.
  • Hellen Obiri (KEN): Took her second title in New York City, shattering the course record, and secured a hard-earned second place in the fastest Boston Marathon to date.

A Global Force in Triathlon

On’s dominance in triathlon was cemented with the signing of Kona World Champion Solveig Løvseth and victories across all distances.

  • Lisa Tertsch (GER): Made history as the first On and German female to win the Olympic Distance world title.
  • Jelle Geens (BEL): Defended his 70.3 World Championship title in a sprint finish with fellow On athlete Kristian Blummenfelt
  • Kristian Blummenfelt (NOR): Set a course record while defending his European Title, and came third at the World Championships in Nice
  • Gustav Iden (NOR): After struggling with injuries, he proved his power, coming second at the World Championships in Nice
  • T100 Series: On triathletes secured multiple wins and podium finishes across the series. Kate Waugh (GBR) ended the season as the overall winner, followed by Julie Derron (SUI). In the men’s field, Jelle Geens claimed 3rd in the overall series. 

A Season of Tennis Triumphs

On’s tennis team reached new heights, led by a mix of established stars and a new generation of talent.

  • Iga Świątek (POL): Captured her first-ever Wimbledon title in a historic victory.
  • Ben Shelton (USA): Claimed his first ATP 1000 title in Toronto.
  • Joao Fonseca (BRA) & Flavio Cobolli (ITA): Both secured their maiden ATP titles, and both went on to win their second titles this season as well
  • Henry Bernet (SUI): Became the first Swiss Tennis player in On’s roster and secured the first-ever junior grand slam title for On at the Australian Open
