On Brings its LightSpray™ Technology to London with an Immersive Public Experience at the Height of Running Season

The Swiss sportswear brand presents the UK debut of its LightSpray™ technology.

London, United Kingdom, 20 April 2026 – Swiss sportswear brand On brings its groundbreaking LightSpray™ technology to London for its UK debut with On LightSprayTM Tour London: an immersive experience at 3 Hanover Square, from April 24 – 26, featuring a hands-on look at the LightSpray™ story.

On LightSpray™ Tour London will welcome runners into an immersive world co-created by PlayLab – providing attendees with an exclusive look at the transformative potential of the revolutionary LightSpray™ technology and its journey from mind to podium. Runners will watch the LightSpray™ robot in action, before stepping into a data-driven product test run dubbed the “Dream Run”. The experience is further elevated by the immersive sound of insights from four-time marathon winner, Hellen Obiri, reflecting on her record-breaking run in New York. Throughout the programming, On athletes, ambassadors, and community members are expected to visit the space.

Celebrating the brand’s Real Energy campaign, On LightSpray™ Tour London goes beyond product demonstration with a series of community activations designed to extend energy return into a holistic experience. Wider programming is hosted in collaboration with Healf, a UK-based wellbeing platform that offers the world’s most intentional curation of wellbeing products.

The LightSpray™ Journey

Since introducing LightSpray™ in 2024, On has been building the operational framework for automated shoe production from the ground up. The LightSpray™ robot produces the upper of the LightSpray Cloudboom Strike – On’s lightest performance shoe to date – in just three minutes. What began as a four-year development journey, followed by the opening of On’s first factory, has now advanced production capacity 30-fold with the opening of its second facility near Busan, South Korea. As production scales, On plans to explore LightSpray™ applications in other categories, alongside new drops in 2026.

Product Details

The LightSpray Cloudmonster 3 Hyper, the first shoe upper sprayed at the Korean facility, is an ultralight all-round training shoe. Key features include a minimalist laceless LightSpray™ construction, designed to feel like an extension of the body. The ultimate super trainer features enhanced cushioning, comfort and hyper-responsiveness designed to support high-intensity training and faster recovery, weighing in at just 205g.

The LightSpray Cloudboom Strike is engineered for the long haul with an athlete-informed design that delivers exacting comfort, efficiency, and control over 42.2km. On’s lightest-ever racing shoe at 170g has soft propulsive cushioning that meets high responsiveness for sustained speed over full marathon distance.

About LightSpray™

LightSpray™ condenses traditional upper production—which typically requires approximately 200 steps across multiple factories—into a single, fully automated process. A robotic arm sprays 1.5 kilometers of specialized filament onto a last, creating an ultra-light, one-piece upper in around three minutes. The process requires less space than conventional manufacturing, is designed to generate less waste and produce uppers with a lower carbon footprint compared to On's other racing shoes, based on lifecycle assessments conducted by On.
