On Expands Outdoor Line with Introduction of the award-winning Cloudultra
Developed and tested in the Swiss Alps, no distance is off-limits for On’s Cloudultra trail shoe. The Cloudultra was promptly awarded the renowned ISPO Award 2021.
March 4th, 2021 – ZURICH, Switzerland – On announces the Cloudultra, an all-new model Swiss-engineered to conquer the toughest terrains with maximum cushioning and support. Designed for ultramarathons, long trail runs and off-road training sessions, the Cloudultra combines On’s heritage with the latest in design and running technology.

As runners can attest, long distances create foot swell; that’s why On developed a revolutionary solution called the FlipRelease. This new feature, premiering on the Cloudultra and located on the forefoot, relieves uncomfortable pressure with a simple flip of the small tool secured on the lacing.

Pulling inspiration from its road counterpart, the Cloudstratus, the Cloudultra features dual CloudTec® layers working in tandem to provide cushioning and long-term comfort. A connected midsole increases impact protection while a closed Missiongrip™ outsole guarantees a rock-free ride. In addition to its adaptable sock-like construction for a precise fit, a perforated sandwich mesh upper provides increased breathability.
