What started with the first iconic Cloudmonster in 2022 has evolved into a three-strong family of high-energy running shoes. With innovation at its core, the Cloudmonster franchise has continually pushed the boundaries of max-cushioned running since its debut in 2022. The original Cloudmonster 1 introduced a bold new silhouette and CloudTec® geometry that delivered a uniquely forward-rolling, responsive ride. The Cloudmonster 2 built on this foundation but leveled up the cushioning. Now in its third generation, it continues to evolve bringing back the rocker and responsiveness of the 1, and combining that with a high cushion—to bring more energy return and more fun to the daily trainer, for today's runners.

Designed to empower the everyday runner with an undeniably fun and accessible running experience, the Cloudmonster 3 provides max energy return through a midsole made of dual density Helion™ foam, and a triple layer of CloudTec®. The meticulously re-engineered bottom unit also features an aggressively curved rocker shape, which propels the wearer forward for an energetic push off, while a Nylon blend Speedboard® stores energy before snapping back for an extra pop of propulsion. The result is a playful, forward-rolling ride designed to bring max energy to daily runs.

A favourite among members of the On Athletics Club (OAC), the second-generation silhouette was developed in close collaboration with athletes and features 20% more foam and an improved compound for greater cushioning, resilience, and energy return. Its plateless design helps keep legs fresher during high-mileage training, while an improved heel construction enhances comfort and support.

Engineered for those who want to run faster and further, the LightSpray Cloudmonster 3 Hyper elevates the most responsive, most cushioned Cloudmonster with On’s pioneering LightSpray™ upper technology. By extending this ultralight upper construction to a new footwear collection, On delivers the lightest Cloudmonster ever made without compromising on feeling. Made from just eight pieces—one upper, two midsole components, and five small rubber elements—the LightSpray Cloudmonster 3 Hyper weighs only 205g (US M8.5).
