On's Track Athletes Deliver Show-Stopping Performances in Zurich
A statement steeplechase win, a Swiss national record, and multiple podiums at the season finale.

Zurich, Switzerland, August 29, 2025 - On athletes delivered stellar results on the Swiss sportswear brand’s home turf at the Diamond League Final in Zurich's Letzigrund Stadium. The event saw a series of standout performances from On's roster, including a major victory, a national record, and multiple podium finishes.
A Statement Win for Frederik Ruppert
In the men’s 3000m steeplechase, Germany’s Frederik Ruppert secured the biggest win of his career. The 28-year-old, who had only come down from his altitude base in St. Moritz the day before, continued this season’s fine form and took the lead on the penultimate lap of the race. He then proceeded to hold off a strong challenge from Kenya's Edmund Serem, winning the race with a time of 8:09.02.
Three Podium Finishes and a Swiss Record
The home crowd was treated to a thrilling performance by Swiss athlete Ditaji Kambundji, who finished second in the 100m hurdles. She equaled her own national record of 12.40 to secure the runner-up spot.
OAC athlete Josette Andrews came in second in the women’s 3000m. In a tactical race, she was at the front of the pack as they entered the final lap before ultimately finishing just behind the winner, Fantaye Belayneh, in a time of 8:40.95.
Rounding out the impressive night, in the men's 400m hurdles, Nigerian runner Nathaniel Ezekiel continued his strong showing from Lausanne and claimed a third-place finish in a competitive field with a time of 47.56 seconds.
