World Lead Time, and German and French National Records
Mills, Farken, and Guillemot celebrated record-breaking times as the indoor track season continues across Europe and the US

ZURICH, Switzerland, February 3, 2025 - From France to the US, OAC athletes blazed across the track this weekend, shattering records and setting world-leading times! George Mills stole the show with a blistering 3000m, while Agathe Guillemot and Robert Farken etched their names in national record books.
Mills sets World Lead time in 3000m Indoor
At the Meeting de I’Eure in Val-de-Reuil, France, George Mills (GBR) came away with a huge world-leading time and British record in the 3000m indoor distance, crossing the finish line in 7:27.92. This performance means Mills goes ninth on the global indoor 3000m all-time list.
Mills was over two seconds faster than the previous British record, set by Josh Kerr in New York last year, and became the second fastest European man in the distance. Only one European ever ran faster than Mills—the now-banned Spanish athlete Mo Katir.
His fellow OAC Europe Team members Noah Baltus (NED) finished in fourth place in 7:42.61, and Federico Riva crossed the finish line in eighth place with a new PB of 7:52.63. In the 800m race, Mohamed Attaoui (ESP) claimed the silver medal in a time of 1:46.00, followed by teammate Corentin Le Clezio (FRA) in 1:46.71, a huge PB for the young French athlete.
Another French National Record for Guillemot
Agathe Guillemot enjoyed racing on her home grounds in France, finishing fourth in the mile race and improving her own French record by more than three seconds. The previous record, set by Guillemot in January of 2024 stood at 4:29.02. Now, it stands at 4:25.99 and faster than the French Outdoor record for the distance.
German Record for Farken
Over in the US, at the BU Terrier Classic, Robert Farken (GER), who moved from OAC Europe to OAC Global at the end of last year, lined up for the mile race. Little did he know, he would be part of a collegiate-breaking race and set the German record for the indoor mile. Farken relentlessly pushed the pace in the first laps, hoping to dip below 3:48.87, the current European record, but began to tire in the last lap and saw Ethan Strand blow past as he obliterated the collegiate record. Farken crossed the finish line just over a second after Strand in a time of 3:49.45 and with a new German record to his name.
